Operational Roles

Operations Manager (Organics Recycling)

About the Role

Due to significant recent investment and the installation of a new processing system, we are seeking an experienced Organics Manager to lead our organic waste and composting operations at our Forth facility.

This is a key leadership role where you’ll take ownership of a newly enhanced operation, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient processing while driving performance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

This is a key operational leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient processing of organic materials, while driving performance, continuous improvement, and supporting commercial growth.

  • Oversee day-to-day organics processing operations from intake to final product
  • Ensure compliance with PPC permits, PAS100, Animal Health, and ISO systems
  • Monitor and report on KPIs, production output, and operational performance
  • Manage production planning to meet demand and site capacity
  • Support the commercial team with product sales and new business opportunities
  • Produce regular reports for senior leadership on performance and risk
Skills
  • COTC / WAMITAB qualification (essential)
  • Experience in waste management, recycling, or organics processing
  • Proven leadership experience in an operational or production environment
  • Experience managing KPIs, budgets, and performance improvement
  • Strong understanding of environmental compliance and HSE legislation
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills
Desirable

Experience with composting systems or similar processing environments

Knowledge of PAS100 standards

Commercial awareness or experience supporting sales
