Recently, our Community Engagement Officer, Lisa Heffernan, took part in the Lanark Grammar careers event, not only representing Levenseat Resource Management, but also mentoring through MCR Pathways.

It was a rewarding opportunity to inspire others to give their time to support young people, while sharing valuable insights into waste management and community engagement.

Mentoring truly makes a difference. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, now is the perfect time to start!

“I had the chance to volunteer at Lanark Grammar careers event, but this time I wasn’t there only promoting Levenseat Resource Management. I was also there as a mentor with MCR Pathways.

It was such a great experience speaking to adults about becoming mentors themselves and giving a little of their time to support young people at Lanark Grammar, as well as talking about waste management and community engagement.

I’m so glad I took the time to do something a bit different. If you’ve ever thought about mentoring, honestly go for it. It’s one of the most rewarding things you can do.”
